Apopka High School Softball Celebrates Remarkable 2026 Season at Annual Banquet
The Apopka High School Softball program recently gathered for its annual end-of-season banquet, bringing together players, coaches, families, friends, and supporters to celebrate an outstanding 2026 season and recognize the student-athletes who helped make it one to remember.
Held as a final opportunity for the team to come together, the banquet was filled with gratitude, recognition, and reflection as the Lady Blue Darters celebrated a successful year both on and off the field. The event highlighted the dedication, teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance that have become hallmarks of the Apopka softball program. The 2026 varsity team finished the season with an impressive 20-6 record and continued to uphold the proud tradition of excellence associated with Apopka softball.
A special focus of the evening was honoring the program's senior class. These student-athletes have left a lasting impact on Apopka High School through their leadership, commitment, and contributions to the team. Their accomplishments extend beyond wins and statistics, reflecting the character, determination, and work ethic that have made them outstanding representatives of the Blue Darters.
Throughout the evening, players were recognized for their achievements during the season. Award recipients included Taylor Smith, who earned the ROSE Award for overall excellence; Alicia Lopez, who was named Team MVP; Sydney Bartkin, who received Defensive Player of the Year honors; Shylah Pino, who was recognized as Offensive Player of the Year; and Ava Millspaugh, who was named Pitcher of the Year. These honors reflect the exceptional talent and dedication displayed throughout the season by members of the Apopka softball program.
The banquet also served as an opportunity to recognize the many student-athletes whose contributions helped make the season successful. Every player, whether on varsity or supporting the program throughout the year, played an important role in building the culture and competitive spirit that define Apopka softball.
The Apopka Serves Foundation extends its congratulations to all of the players for their accomplishments during the 2026 season. We also congratulate the coaching staff for their leadership, mentorship, and commitment to helping these young athletes grow both on the field and in the classroom. The success of the program is a direct reflection of the countless hours invested by coaches, players, families, volunteers, and supporters throughout the year.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who attended the banquet and helped make the evening a memorable celebration. Events like these remind us that high school athletics are about much more than competition—they are about building relationships, developing leaders, creating lifelong memories, and strengthening our community.
As the program says farewell to its graduating seniors and looks ahead to the future, the foundation built during the 2026 season will continue to inspire the next generation of Blue Darters. We wish all graduating seniors the very best in their future academic, athletic, and personal endeavors and look forward to following their continued success.
Congratulations to the entire Apopka High School Softball program on an outstanding season, and thank you for representing Apopka with pride, passion, and excellence. Go Blue Darters!
